Michael Souter

Michael Souter is the latest in a long line of BBC sex offenders to be unearthed in the wake of the Savile affair.

The e x-BBC Norfolk and former Radio Clyde broadcaster was found guilty of 26 offences including indecent assault, indecency with a child, serious sexual offences, and seven counts of possessing indecent images of children.

Souter's catalogue of abuse began in 1979. He was first arrested by police in 1993 but, because of a lack of evidence against him, he continued abusing boys for another six years. Norfolk Police said the 60-year-old was responsible for "one of the worst cases of prolonged child abuse" officers had dealt with. He was described in court as a "sexual deviant" who was obsessed with young boys in shorts and uniform.

He was sentenced to 22 years in prison and ordered to pay legal costs of £14,694. He may be forced to sell properties in the UK and abroad in order to pay which, frankly, serves the bastard right.

Hopefully, the lads in C Block will show him the error of his ways, then you can have a nice warm oven ready for him, Nick.
